Routines, Changes and More Life Lessons...

Its been a couple weeks since our last note. Mostly its because its hot in Texas and there isn't much else to say about that. Marshall has definitely settled into a routine: up at 6am sharp no matter what day of the week, morning run around the backyard, breakfast, in his crate during the day, major baying when the people get home, walk at 7:30pm, asleep by 9pm.

We did interrupt the schedule a little when we took a quick trip to Houston to visit Marshall's dog-cousins. They have a great dog park and Marshall was able to practice his off lead skills. He did well, managing to make it all the way through both the big dog and small dog areas without any altercations. Here he is showing his independence, and then wanting to get back to the rest of his new pack.

Unfortunately, the other reason to head to Houston was to see the Terra Cotta Warriors at the Houston Museum of Natural Science. That meant Marshall was left in his room at Aunt Carolyn and Aunt Lee Ann's house for several hours. There is a pool next door and the kids were making too much noise. Long story short, Marshall owes his Aunts some new carpet and some new mini blinds.

So, another life lesson for the humans: always take the crate on a road trip, just in case.

The other reason for the delay in this post: Jimmy dropped the camera Lori bought him for Christmas four years ago and broke the LCD display. It would cost more to fix it than to get a new one so we are now a 12 Mega Pixel family for what its worth. The camera still took pictures, you just couldn't see what you were taking them of. For example, check out the pics or our new storage building (some featuring Marshall, of course). The color is being considered for the house color so please comment.

Finally, Marshall is still trying to figure out why some of his favorite sticks will not make it through the dog door with him.

Next up will likely be details from Lori's secret birthday trip / surprise. No fair giving Marshall treats to see what he knows!
